Memorial Mass for Bridgette and Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

 Hello All,

Today is Palm Sunday and also marks 3 months since Bridgette passed.  The boys and I are still doing fine.  There are some bumpy days, but I have noticed for all of us that recently there seem to be more good days.  We continue to be so very grateful to everyone for all of the support that has been provided to our family.  I would not wish any of this experience on anyone else except for the amazing insight into the kindness and caring of others that we have felt.  Thank you all again.

Bridgette Memorial Mass:  We have been able to set a date for Bridgette's Memorial Mass.  It will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 17 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Littleton, CO.  There will be an Open House after the Mass.  With the recent COVID progress, I am very hopeful that all can attend that are interested and able.  Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any specific questions.

Colorectal Awareness Month:  On another note, March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.  Attached below is a very good article.  The bottom line is that Colorectal Cancer is VERY treatable if found in the early stages of the disease.  Unfortunately, Bridgette was Stage IV when initially diagnosed.  If you have any weirdness with your poop, do not delay in seeing your doctor.  I strongly recommend that anyone over the age of 40 get a colonoscopy as soon as possible and at a minimum take one of the poop tests that are advertised on TV (Cologuard, etc).  I have had a colonscopy and I would have that procedure done 100 days straight as opposed to the alternative.  The boys and I all enjoy the poop jokes, but I am dead serious about this.

As we enter Easter Week, I pray that you and your family are all healthy.

Jesus I Trust in You!

Shawn
